Abstract:
In response to the aged society, low birth rate, community-based healthcare and the impacts of society, economy, politics, and technology on nursing and healthcare system, this project is to discuss the strategic plan of nursing workforce in Taiwan in order to interconnect with 2030 Global Healthcare Workforce. The primary goals of this project are to develop the optimum policy framework for Taiwan’s nursing manpower to meet the needs of the health promotion, illness care and long-term care to enhance the rates of nursing practice and nurses’ retention. The innovative and indigenous care models based on Taiwan’s technology strengths and National Health Insurance Database will be applying to improve nursing manpower’s efficiency.
