The very high prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and increasing number of patients underwent renal dialysis has posed great financial pressure on Taiwanese National Health Insurance. This project aims to provide solutions to the above-mentioned problems through thorough review of the experience in other countries including CKD prevention strategies, insurance coverage and payment methods. Then, through meetings with stakeholders and experts, this project intend to provide  consensus-based policy suggestions to the health authorities for combating the problem of CKD control in Taiwan.
