Abstract:
The project will use the database of National Health Insurance to analyze whether and how the public in Taiwan has overuse of outpatient care for upper respiratory tract inflammation and gastrointestinal inflammation. Empirical findings from the analysis can shed light on how the government can formulate policies and educational materials to improve physician-patient communication and social behavior so as to reduce unnecessary use of outpatient care.
